We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our residential care facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting the elderly in their own home. This role requires effective communication, the ability to implement care plans, and a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for all residents. You will be working on a 3 on 3 off basis.
Duties
Lead and manage a team of 6 residential staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
Ensuring 3-monthly supervisions/training are completed on time.
Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Monitor the wellbeing of residents, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
Facilitate communication between staff, residents, and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care.
Organise activities that promote social skills, personal development, and emotional wellbeing among residents.
Maintain accurate records related to each residents and any incidents that occur within the facility.
Ensuring the residents care plans and daily care notes are completed.
Daily medicines administration.
Attending management meetings.
Assisting the deputy manager in co-ordinating hospital appointments
Feeding into the RI 6-monthly Quality Assurance report.
Skills
Strong leadership abilities with a drive to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues.
Experience in residential and dementia or working with vulnerable adults in a residential setting is essential.
Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
IT proficiency for maintaining records and facilitating communication within the team.
A compassionate approach with the ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
Overall responsibility for COSHH, auditing and staff training.
Overall responsible for ordering continence products, including liaising with healthboard to ensure timely delivery.
