Job Description

We're looking for a Team Leader to take day-to-day ownership of operational activities and ensure that our teams work efficiently, safely, and in line with company goals.

This role is ideal for a motivated, organized professional who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and driving performance. You'll be responsible for coordinating team operations, monitoring performance, and supporting both staff and management to deliver outstanding service.

You'll need to balance hands-on involvement with strong communication and leadership -- someone who leads by example, builds trust, and gets results through collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Lead and coordinate daily operations within your assigned team, ensuring targets and deadlines are met. Supervise team members, providing clear direction, support, and motivation. Plan workloads, schedules, and resources effectively to meet operational requirements. Monitor performance against KPIs, addressing issues promptly and constructively. Ensure operational standards and procedures are consistently applied across the team.

Process and Performance Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and communication within the team. Support the implementation of new systems, workflows, and performance initiatives. Provide feedback to management on challenges, resource needs, and improvement areas. Encourage innovation and problem-solving among team members.

People Management and Development

Lead by example and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and respect. Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews for team members. Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training to help new staff succeed. Foster engagement and morale through recognition, inclusion, and professional growth opportunities.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

Ensure all team activities comply with health and safety standards and company policies. Promote a strong safety culture by identifying risks and ensuring corrective actions are taken. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance reporting.

Communication and Collaboration

Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day team operations. Liaise with other departments (HR, Finance, Logistics, etc.) to coordinate efforts and share updates. Escalate issues or risks promptly to management and support resolution efforts. Participate in team and departmental meetings, sharing insights and best practices.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, ideally within a fast-paced operational or service-based environment. Strong people management skills -- able to motivate, coach, and support diverse teams. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with strong attention to detail. Confident decision-maker who can prioritize tasks and resolve problems quickly. Understanding of operational processes, resource allocation, and performance management. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage others. Competent with Microsoft Office and business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, or workforce management tools). Basic understanding of health and safety requirements and compliance standards.

Desirable:

Experience in logistics, service delivery, or multi-department operations. Previous involvement in process improvement or change initiatives. Working knowledge of performance reporting and KPI tracking.

Working Hours

Full-time, typically Monday to Friday. Flexibility required to meet operational demands -- occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary.

What We Offer
