Role outline:

The Team Leader is responsible for being a leadership resource to team members by providing their knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice.

The Team Leader is also expected to relay Company policies and procedures to team members, and ensuring that they follow and comply with Company rules and requirements.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 06:00am - 14:00pm (37.5 hours per week).

Hourly Rate:

The hourly rate of15.04 per hour includes a shift premium of 2.50 which is paid after completion of 7.5 hours work on this shift. This hourly rate also includes a discretionary bonus.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of production staff to ensure efficient workflow. Organise daily tasks and assign duties to ensure production schedules are met. Provide training and guidance to team members to improve productivity and skill levels. Report and resolve quality issues in your area. Ensure the optimal use of equipment and resources to meet production goals. Attend Tier 2 and lead Tier 1 meetings in order to improve communication with the workforce. Enforce health and safety policies and procedures, to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards. Utilise all available resources to achieve your departmental goals. Take accountability for the results of your area. Set daily direction for your team. Ensure that there is a sufficient and effective handover between shifts. Review daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your area. Use ATP Boards and ATP Sheets on a daily basis.

Person Specification:

Good numeracy skills Previous experience of production of both windows and doors (ideal, but not essential). Ability to work to tight deadlines (accurately and quickly) Excellent organisational, communication, and inter-personal skills Self-motivated Confident team player prepared to be flexible to meet team requirements Ability to communicate clearly at all levels Proficient in using production management software and tools Strong understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing setting
