Job Description
The Team Leader role has accountability for ensuring production targets are achieved and is responsible for all production, quality, and labour resources. You will be expected to drive adherence to the production plan to ensure customer deliveries are achieved in full and on time, every time.
This role reports into the Production Manager, working a 40-hour week on the rotating shift pattern (days, backs, nights)
Your key responsibilities will include:
Actively manage and drive H&S performance within the team Ensure a high level of production plan adherence and for any non-adherence ensure a recovery plan is in place to protect customer delivery Monitor and drive all key KPI and PI performance in the area Ensure compliance with all procedures and that all necessary training is carried out Identify opportunities for improvement within the production area, utilising activities such as Gemba Walks, 5S Audits, Process Audits, Waste Walks etc Take prompt action on red and yellow quality tickets Organise the supply of materials and documentation required Manage your team's performance, coaching them to be the best they can be
To be successful you will need to demonstrate:
Ability to develop an engaged and high performing team Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be an advantage Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Resilient and self-motivated with a real drive for achieving daily production targets Experience of championing continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing setting. * Good IT skills, previous experience of using Microsoft Office packages and able to use data to inform decision making and action planning
