We're now recruiting a Team Leader to join our growing team, inspiring, guiding, and developing dedicated support workers to provide high-quality care in supported living and community-based settings.


About the Role





As a Team Leader with CJP, you'll be responsible for both the day-to-day delivery of support and the operational leadership of your team. This role combines hands-on support work with leadership duties to ensure that every individual we support receives consistent, person-centred, and high-quality care.



You'll work closely with the Registered Manager, PBS Specialists, and Clinical Leads to ensure care plans are up-to-date, risks are well-managed, and staff are trained and confident in supporting individuals safely and respectfully.



Your leadership will be key to fostering a positive, empowering environment where both the people we support and the teams who care for them can thrive.


Key Responsibilities




Lead, coach, and motivate your team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support. Ensure the people we support are at the heart of everything we do, promoting independence, inclusion, and personal growth. Implement and review Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans to enhance quality of life and reduce behaviours of concern. Coordinate and manage staff rotas, ensuring adequate coverage and continuity of care. Conduct supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings to maintain engagement and performance. Support with new staff inductions and on-the-job mentoring. Complete and maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments, and daily records in line with CQC and company standards. Oversee medication management, finance auditing, and health & safety checks within the service. Actively contribute to service development and quality improvement projects. Build strong, professional relationships with families, social workers, and other external professionals. Participate in the on-call rota, sleep-ins, and occasional weekend shifts as part of a flexible leadership approach.

About You





You'll be a natural leader, calm, confident, and compassionate - with a passion for helping others reach their potential. You'll bring professional experience and emotional intelligence, balancing empathy with strong boundaries and clear communication.


Essential skills & experience:




Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader role within social care. Strong understanding of autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs (e.g. bipolar disorder, psychosis). Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or a willingness to be trained. Experience in coordinating rotas, mentoring staff, and managing day-to-day service operations. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-ins. Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential).
