Team Leader - Muller Skelmersdale

we are recruiting for a

Team Leaders

to join our Powder Processing Operation. We have ambitious plans underway to further develop our site, improving our dairy and powder offering and capability whilst making our supply chain stronger.

As a Team Leader in our Powder Process Department,you will play a significant role in driving powder production, taking full ownership of the day-to-day operation within a fast paced, quality and safety led environment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Manage the performance of powder process function and the team, achieve 100% completion of "Job chats" with all relevant staff. Actively manage employee coaching, training, and development to provide effective succession planning and develop a high performing team. Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards and requirements. Support any new system, structure, or process improvement projects. (Project Symphony) Contribute to the achievement of internal and external audit accreditation. Demonstrate commitment to Health & Safety by investigating accidents appropriately and challenging unsafe practices, raising hazards and responding promptly and effectively to all hazards raised by others. Communicate and lead site staff to achieve KPI and P.I (Performance Indicator) targets, relevant to your functional area.

Our ideal candidate must be/have:

Previous team leader / supervisor experience in a similar, food-based manufacturing environment is

essential.

Resilient, highly organised. A flexible approach; able to adapt to changing plans. A good listener/ strong communicator. Able to problem solve effectively and efficiently. Able to demonstrate initiative and prioritisation skills.
Shift Pattern - 4 on, 4 off rotating across days and nights.
