We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to support the growth and development of children in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine love for working with children, ensuring their well-being while fostering their social, emotional, and educational development. This role requires effective communication skills, leadership, supporting colleagues, the ability to follow care plans, and experience with children of various ages.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children in daily activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment. Develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's individual needs and interests. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other caregivers to provide updates on progress and any concerns. Assist with daily routines including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and educational activities. Drive children to various activities or appointments as needed, ensuring their safety during transport. Maintain a clean and organised play area, promoting good hygiene practices among children. Monitor children's behaviour and provide guidance to encourage positive interactions and conflict resolution.

Skills

Proven experience in childcare or related fields is essential. Good leadership skills to support and mange shifts and the team. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and parents alike. Ability to drive safely and responsibly when transporting children. Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Basic IT skills for maintaining records or communicating updates digitally. A nurturing attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications: Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Child Care or working towards.
