We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Team Leader to oversee the care and support of children in a residential setting. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's needs. The ideal candidate will possess a background in care homes or senior care, along with experience in supervising teams. You will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and development of the children.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for each child, ensuring they meet their specific needs and goals.
Foster positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional and social development through engaging activities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to children's residential care.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and incidents, reporting any concerns to management promptly.
Communicate effectively with children, families, and external professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in children's residential care.
Skills
Proven experience in supervising teams within a care home or similar environment is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with children, families, and colleagues.
Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
Level 5 in Children & Residential Care - Management & Leadership
Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
