About the Role:
As Team Leader, you will help guide and support a team of residential support workers, ensuring high standards of care and support are consistently delivered. You'll be a role model for best practice, championing the needs of the children and helping to create a warm, stable environment where they feel safe, valued, and able to thrive.
What You'll Do:
Lead and support the care team during shifts, ensuring consistent and child-focused care
Contribute to care planning and risk assessments in line with individual needs
Promote a nurturing, therapeutic approach to working with children with complex needs
Support with day-to-day routines, activities, and life skills development
Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times
Work closely with management to help shape the culture and standards of the new home
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent - essential)
Experience working in a residential setting with children and young people
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to care
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Passion for making a genuine difference in children's lives
