As a Team Leader, you'll play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic home environment where every young person feels valued and supported.
What You'll Do
:
Lead and supervise Residential Support Workers, ensuring the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the daily operation of the home.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualised Care Plans and Risk Assessments that promote positive outcomes.
Promote each child's emotional, physical, and educational development through active engagement and tailored activities.
Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, company policies, and Ofsted standards.
Act as a role model, mentor, and advocate for young people, promoting respect, safety, and wellbeing.
Maintain high-quality records, contribute to reviews, and liaise effectively with families, social workers, schools, and external agencies.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
Proven background in residential childcare, including leading shifts and supervising staff.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People's Workforce (or above) - Level 5 in Leadership & Management desirable.
Skills:
Excellent communication, empathy, and organisational skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Commitment:
A genuine passion for empowering young people and promoting a positive, inclusive environment.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, sleep-ins and holidays away from the home.
Licence:
Full, clean UK driving licence.
