The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
Supervise and support kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
Manage team performance by providing guidance, training, and feedback to enhance culinary skills and service delivery.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Coordinate food production schedules to meet service demands while minimising waste.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Foster a collaborative atmosphere among team members, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Handle customer inquiries or complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality sector.
Strong culinary skills with a background in food preparation, cooking, and food production.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Previous experience in kitchen environments or hotel settings is advantageous.
Familiarity with barista duties is a plus but not essential.
