We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader (Senior Support Worker) to join our therapeutic children's residential home in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Support Worker looking to progress into a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care within a nurturing and stable environment.
As a Team Leader, you will support vulnerable children and young people, provide guidance to staff, and help maintain a safe, structured home that promotes positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent emotional and practical support tailored to the needs of each young person
Act as a positive role model and support junior staff through guidance, mentoring, and best practice
Contribute to and implement individual care plans and therapeutic interventions
Ensure the home environment remains structured, safe, and welcoming
Maintain full compliance with safeguarding policies and regulatory requirements
Build effective working relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
Maintain accurate records, support reporting processes, and assist with care planning
Requirements
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience working within a residential children's home
Leadership or shift-leading experience is highly desirable
Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
A resilient, compassionate, and child-focused approach
Full UK driving licence preferred
