The Role

Team Leader
, you will drive the performance, engagement, and development of your team while ensuring production targets, compliance, and continuous improvement are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support your team to meet Health & Safety standards and company policies.
Champion a positive safety culture, proactively reporting and resolving risks.
Ensure team members follow operational instructions, manufacturing documentation, and process requirements.
Manage timesheets, labour efficiency, and resource utilisation, providing regular updates to the Production Manager.
Oversee production orders, associated paperwork, and compliance with operational plans.
Maintain stock, equipment, and calibration records to ensure operational readiness.
Monitor material usage and waste, taking timely corrective action.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and secure, well-managed facilities.
Deliver team training, coaching, and performance development plans.
Report on production performance, implement recovery actions, and ensure operational goals are achieved.
Foster team communication through toolbox talks, shift handovers, and open engagement.
Deputise for the Production Manager and provide cover for other Team Leaders as required.
What We're Looking For
HNC/HND or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline (or relevant experience).
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, or significant Health & Safety management experience.
Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but strong leadership in retail, hospitality, or other high-paced sectors is welcome.
Track record of leading teams, driving continuous improvement, and using business systems (ERP, maintenance, HSE tools).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and develop team members.
Proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Excellent IT, communication, and teamwork abilities.
