New Venture Care's Supported Living Service in Portslade
. You will play a key part in leading a dedicated team supporting adults with
learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs
to live independently and thrive within their community.
This is a
hands-on leadership role
where you'll combine direct support with operational oversight to maintain outstanding standards of care and compliance. You will model best practice, lead shifts, support staff development, and ensure every individual receives high-quality, person-centred care.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise Support Workers during shifts
Oversee daily service operations and ensure smooth handovers
Support with care planning, reviews, and risk assessments
Conduct staff supervisions, spot checks, and quality audits
Manage rotas and coordinate cover when needed
Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies
Uphold CQC standards and promote safe, effective support
Participate in the on-call rota on a shared basis
About You:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs
Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Flexible approach to working hours (including evenings, weekends, and on-call)
Full UK driving licence and vehicle (preferred)
