Are you ready to take the next step in your planning career? Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to be a Team Leader (Planning Applications) within its Development Management Team.
As Team Leader, you will:
Lead and inspire a team of Planning Officers, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
Manage your own caseload of more complex and high-profile planning applications.
Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused planning service.
Contribute to shaping the future of development across Rhondda Cynon Taf, balancing growth with sustainability.
We are looking for someone with:
A Degree in Planning or equivalent qualification.
A proven track record of experience in development management or a related planning discipline.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The ability to handle complex applications with confidence and sound professional judgement.
A commitment to delivering positive outcomes for our communities.
