We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Leader Care Assistant to join our branch. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents within a care home setting, supporting their daily needs and promoting their well-being. Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
Support residents with mobility and daily activities, encouraging independence where possible.
Administer medication as per care plans and document accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure personalised and consistent care.
Supervise and support junior staff or volunteers as required, demonstrating leadership qualities.
Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Assist with organising activities that promote social engagement and mental well-being of residents.
Ensure the safety and comfort of residents at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience working in a care home or senior care environment is highly desirable.
Supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for supporting team members.
Valid driving licence and Vehicle with Business insurance to facilitate transportation needs if required.
DBS, current and on the update service.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately.
Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for older adults or those requiring additional support.
