Care Assistants

to join our dedicated team at Beechwood House.

The Role



As a Care Assistant with A & R Care, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to live with comfort, independence, and dignity in a warm and welcoming environment. Every day brings the opportunity to make a real difference to someone's life.

What you'll do

:

Support

: Help with activities including personal care, ensuring the comfort, wellbeing and safety of our residents.

Provide person-centred care

: Tailor your care planning to meet the unique needs of each resident.

Promote independence

: Encourage residents to make personal care choices and support their self-care and independence.

Build relationships

: Establish supportive connections with residents, their families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and coordinate the care team during shifts, ensuring safe staffing and effective allocation of duties Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with residents' care plans Support and mentor care staff, leading by example and promoting best practice Conduct and oversee handovers, ensuring clear and accurate communication Monitor residents' physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately Support with medication administration (where trained and authorised) Maintain accurate care records and documentation in line with CQC and company standards Promote residents' dignity, independence, and choice at all times Communicate professionally with families, GPs, and other healthcare professionals Welcome and support new residents, helping them settle into the home Contribute to audits, quality checks, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We are Looking For



NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

(or equivalent), with support provided for those wishing to progress to

Level 4

Proven experience in a care setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role Confidence to lead, motivate, and support a care team Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding principles Excellent communication and organisational skills Calm, empathetic, and professional approach, even in challenging situations Commitment to compliance, accuracy, and high standards of care A positive role model who inspires trust and teamwork
Experience working in social care isn't essential to join us as a

Additional Information



Shift patterns:

Day and night shifts available (including weekends on rota).

Right to work:
