The Somerset Team for Early Psychosis (STEP) delivers services countywide through a hub-and-spoke model. As Team Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership and management of the team, ensuring delivery of high-quality care in line with agreed objectives and Trust standards. Alongside the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to staff, while also maintaining a small clinical caseload.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance is required, as the role covers the whole county.

Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care to individuals experiencing at-risk mental states and first episode psychosis.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines and partner agencies to meet the holistic needs of patients.
Provide clinical supervision, support, and leadership to staff within the team.
Support the development of services in line with the Trust's strategy and best practice guidelines.
Maintain a small clinical caseload, retaining professional accountability and responsibility for care provided.
Ensure performance targets, quality standards, and reporting requirements are achieved.

The Team Manager will:
Lead and oversee the day-to-day delivery of the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) and At-Risk Mental States (ARMS) service within Somerset.
Manage staff within the STEP team, including supervision, performance management, and supporting professional development.
Work with the Operational Service Manager and senior colleagues to shape and improve service delivery in line with national EIP standards and Trust priorities.
Provide visible and accessible leadership, ensuring staff feel supported and engaged.
Take an active role in multidisciplinary meetings, service planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure effective use of resources and maintain compliance with relevant governance, risk, and safeguarding procedures.
Contribute to the continued development of the STEP model, promoting early intervention and recovery-focused care for people experiencing psychosis.
