36,943 pro-rata per annum

Team Manager - North Somerset Wellbeing Service












Do you want to lead and support a small, friendly team of tutors and volunteers to provide psycho-educational workshops and courses for people who want to learn skills to support their wellbeing and recovery?
Do you have compassion and empathy for people who are struggling with their mental wellbeing?
Are you caring, compassionate and non-judgmental?
Do you have experience delivering/writing wellbeing groups, workshops and courses?


If so, you could be the person we are looking for.



We have an exciting opportunity for someone to lead our small, friendly team for 12 months maternity leave cover. As a Team Manager, you will provide support and guidance to tutors to work in a psychologically and trauma informed way, be values led and be looking to grow both personally and professionally.

About the Service





North Somerset Wellbeing Service provides free psycho-educational workshops, courses and group activities which are available to adults living in North Somerset. These are run online and in person at community venues across the county. The sessions are designed to explore, improve, and maintain mental health and wellbeing. In addition, brief 1:1 support can be offered to those requiring signposting to other appropriate services.

About You





You will have experience of managing and directing a community-based service working within a psycho-educational/recovery college approach utilising co-production methods.



As well as proven experience of budget/financial management, you will have excellent IT skills, working on MS Office programmes, systems/databases and the ability to understand and use performance information to drive ongoing service improvement.



The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and manage relationships with key partners, and experience of leading a dispersed team, providing effective team supervision, support and guidance.



You will need to be a good communicator, who is creative and able to make sure that learning is accessible for all service users.



In addition, you will know how to work with a trauma informed/PAT, recovery focused approach to support the needs of people with mental health difficulties.



You will have experience working collaboratively with clients/carers, and other stake holders to manage risk where needed including making safeguarding referrals if required.



You will be an excellent organiser, able to plan prospectuses for courses, activities and workshops within tight timescales.



As well as experience of planning a range of wellbeing activities, workshops and psycho-educational courses, we are looking for someone who embraces service user involvement and coproduction work to ensure that the service provision remains meaningful and relevant to those using it.



You will have experience of directing a small team, providing regular supervision and support/guidance to a dispersed workforce.
