Team Member & Barista

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Working Hours: 0 hour contract Every other Friday and Saturday evening. Then day time Cafe Saturday and Sunday the alternate weeks.

Double Puc Cafe is a friendly independent cafe based in Bristol . This role will be based at our We the Curious location.

Our approach to hospitality is friendly, warm and personal. Our ethos around food and coffee is high quality, freshly prepared and well presented food and speciality coffee.

Summary of Position

As team member you will lead on the running of the front of house cafe area in terms of customer experience and friendly team culture. You should have a good eye for detail in terms of making the Front of House Cafe area look fantastic and have a passion and talent for making delicious coffee.

Every other week the shift will be a Friday and Saturday evening where you will serve drinks to customer attending shows in the planetarium.

You will, with training, have a complete working knowledge of all front of house and back of house systems including Rocket OS (our hospitality operating system)

Hospitality & Service

To deliver warm and memorable hospitality which makes customers come back for the team just as much as coming back for the food and drink. To ensure the smooth running of the days service, from making sure that dishes are going out to a high quality of ingredients, taste and presentation, to making sure that wait times are reasonable and the team is working in a friendly and efficient way.

Food & Coffee

Passion for food and coffee and the ability to enthuse others around our product. In-depth understanding of our menu and all the correct methods of production and service. A sense of confidence and pro active approach to maintaining standards across the menu (food and coffee). Ensure that all food and drinks that are served to customers is made to the highest of quality and presentation standards. Ability to assist in the kitchen if needed in an emergency.

Oversight & Management

Help manage workload effectively across the site so that the cafe is calm and prepared, even at high volume periods. `ensure daily tasks are done to the highest of standards and in a timely manner. Ensure that all H&S requirements are met and that Best Practice Methods are adhered to, in order to maintain our 5 star rating. Assist in doing accurate and regular stock-takes.
