Eggfree Cake Box is a thriving brand specializing in high-quality, egg-free cakes and desserts. Our Newport store offers beautifully crafted cakes and excellent customer service. We are now seeking a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Cake Decorator to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our store.

This role is being offered as a Seasonal temporary position until Christmas and New Year. After this period, there will be a review with the opportunity to be considered for a permanent part-time position.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide tailored assistance. Assist customers in selecting products, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience. Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction. Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, ensuring basic math skills are applied effectively. Decorate cakes creatively according to design specifications and customer requests. Ensure all cakes meet our strict quality and presentation standards. Monitor and manage decorating supplies, assisting with stock control and ordering. Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and hygiene standards. Work closely with the team to manage cake preparation and decoration schedules during peak periods.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels accurately. Ability to engage with customers through effective upselling techniques while maintaining a friendly approach. Pay Range:-

16-17 years: 8.00 per hour 18-20 years: 10.00 per hour 21+: 12.21 per hour
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 8.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 17 - 34 per week
