Team Paralegal

*This position is based in either London (UK) or Dublin (Ireland)*

Interactive Brokers\' EU Legal Team seeks a bright and organised professional to serve as a Paralegal to work on regulatory, corporate, and commercial matters. This position requires a highly organised, motivated, and proactive person who pays attention to detail, can multitask and can quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must also have strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Legal research and analysis relating to various matters, including regulatory, corporate, commercial, and other matters
• Supporting the day-to-day legal requirements of the business, including; Compliance, Risk, Operations, Management, IT, Record-keeping and other functions.
• Communicating with IT for implementation/roll-out of new/revised legal documentation.
• Assisting with handling invoices and billing arrangements, including liaising with external advisors.
• Assisting with the management of account life-cycle events such as insolvencies and incapacities.
• Testing IBKR account applications and collecting information to assist in drafting specifications for new functions, procedures, products, or tools.
• Organising and archiving contracts, including uploading contracts to the Legal Agreements Database
• Coordinating the execution of legal documentation within the IBKR Group entities
• Assisting with general office administrative tasks

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in law (preferred)
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. (Knowledge of Jira and Confluence is highly desirable.)
• Paralegal experience is preferred
• One to three years of experience in a legal setting or the financial services industry is desirable
• Experience with regulatory, corporate and commercial law is desirable
• Fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
