Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tearoom Hospitality Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your primary duties will include serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food preparation. A passion for hospitality and a keen attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression. Serve a variety of teas, coffees, and light refreshments while adhering to food safety standards. Assist in food preparation, including assembling platters and preparing simple dishes as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the tearoom, including tables, utensils, and serving areas. Handle customer inquiries and provide recommendations on menu items. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of supplies and report any shortages to management.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Previous barista experience is preferred for crafting quality beverages. Proficient in serving techniques and customer service skills. Basic food preparation skills to assist in creating menu items. Strong basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours.
