Technical Lead
Knutsford

As a Barclays Technical Lead, you will be responsible for delivery from the initial idea through to implementation of the features used by both Barclays customers and our colleagues. You will have an exciting opportunity to deliver applications which make use of the latest UI, container and API technologies, deployed onto cloud platforms. The multi-channel applications are provided across web, mobile, telephony and contact center platforms.

What will you be doing?

• You will be accountable for and end-to-end UI delivery management for a set of technology related initiatives
• You will be responsible for creating pixel perfect UI that meet or exceed the expectations of the project stakeholders
• Releasing of software components within the project scope, ensuring quality and timeliness of the delivery
• Managing and co-ordinate projects, their interdependencies, and associated risks and issues
• Controlling the Project scope, ensuring that rigorous change control is exercised
• Ensuring that all Project status reporting is accurate, informative and timely, and directly provide progress reports
• Escalating for management intervention wherever gaps in the Programme/Project are identified or issues arise
• Supporting Live incidents where needed

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Extensive experience in creative problem solving and successfully executing tasks
• Excellent experience in explaining, advocating and expressing facts and ideas
• Strong presentations skills
• Prior Multi channel applications development experience will be a plus

Skills that will help you in the role

• Strong UI development skills in Angular, React Frameworks
• Strong CSS skills
• Good exposure to latest UI industry trends
• Good exposure to tools like JIRA, confluence, Jenkins

Where will you be working?

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
