Role Overview
Nexus Point is looking for a technically-minded Account Manager to join our growing team. You will be the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from high-touch key accounts to smaller, reactive businesses.
Unlike a traditional AM role, this position requires a deep understanding of web infrastructure. You won't just be taking requests; you will be investigating the backend, triaging technical tickets, and translating complex client requirements into actionable briefs for our development team.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management:
Manage a portfolio of clients, including leading weekly and bi-weekly strategy calls for key accounts.
Technical Triage:
Take ownership of the client ticket queue. You will review website change requests, assess their feasibility, and investigate the backend/CMS to provide the dev team with clear context.
Requirements Gathering:
Translate "business speak" into "technical speak." You must be able to scope out new features and integrations to ensure the development team has everything they need to succeed.
Project Oversight:
Monitor the lifecycle of change requests from initial ticket to Quality Assurance (QA) and final deployment.
Commercial Growth:
Identify opportunities for website enhancements or new digital strategies that add value to your clients' businesses.
Requirements (Skills & Experience)
Technical Literacy:
Proven experience working with website backends, CMS platforms, or basic understanding of web technologies.
Ticket Management:
Proficiency using project management software (e.g., Jira or similar) to manage high volumes of tasks.
Communication:
Ability to explain technical limitations or possibilities to non-technical clients with confidence and empathy.
Organisation:
High level of attention to detail--you will be managing a busy queue of 70+ tickets across multiple clients.
