About You

We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic person, who is ready for a new challenge to help us take our team and processes to the next level. You will be a qualified accountant or QBE, who has comprehensive experience of financial processes. You should be familiar with the CIPFA Code of Practice for Accounting in local authorities, and the capital and prudential frameworks for local authorities.

About the Role

This is a key role in our Senior Finance Management Team, and you will work with the Strategic Finance Manager to lead our Technical Accounting team of two direct reports, on all financial and technical accounting projects and in particular take responsibility for the year-end financial accounts, the production of the annual published financial statements and all capital and treasury matters. In addition, you will work on several strategic projects to ensure that we have the best practices in place and work towards our centre of excellence goals.
