The Technical Administrator role is a great opportunity to take ownership of daily operations, support business processes, and drive organisational effectiveness at BSRIA. Responsibilities include coordinating activities, managing administration, streamlining workflows, and building strong customer relationships to ensure client needs are met with precision.
In addition to these core duties, you will prepare proposals, liaise with clients to obtain technical drawings and specifications, and apply strong Maths and IT literacy in your work. The role also involves interpreting 2D house plans, estimating building surface areas, and contributing to operational planning, with valuable exposure to the logistics arm of the business.
What you'll do as a Technical Administrator:
Support the delivery of projects by helping with operational processes, policies, and day-to-day coordination.
Communicate with clients to gather technical drawings, building specifications, and other project information.
Assist with preparing proposals, project documentation, and business insights for the team.
Maintain accurate databases, records, and reports to support smooth business operations.
Assist with collecting house plans and 2D drawings and support with estimating surface areas.
Work with colleagues across different teams, including logistics, to gain a broad understanding of the business.
Help monitor opportunities, collect feedback, and suggest ideas for improving processes and efficiency.
Support financial tasks such as checking project data, preparing proposals, and assisting with invoicing.
Use corporate platforms (e.g. CRM systems) to keep information accurate and up to date.
Calculating areas of buildings for testing use.
To be considered for the Technical Administrator role:
Previous administration experience is beneficial (within Facilities or Construction Management is a bonus).
Qualifications in Construction Management, Level 3 in an engineering related discipline, HNC or HND in construction related areas, BSc of Science Beng in Engineering (BEng) or Civil Engineering is also beneficial but not essential.
Strong mathematic skills
Experience working as part of a team and supporting wider functions.
IT skills, with some knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to stay organised, manage tasks, and prioritise workloads in a busy environment.
An interest in creating reports or analysing information is a bonus, but not essential.
