We're currently looking for a
Technical Administrator
to join our
Technical Department
at our Chester site. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organisation, process improvement, and supporting a busy technical team in maintaining compliance and quality standards.
Role Overview
As a
Technical Administrator
, you'll provide essential administrative and technical support to both the Technical and Operational departments. You'll play a key role in maintaining supplier approvals, managing training and compliance records, and ensuring all technical documentation is accurate and up to date.
You'll also assist with traceability exercises, audits, customer complaint investigations, and KPI reporting to help ensure our site continues to meet the highest food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update the
training matrix
for all employees (including refresher training schedules).
Support supplier approval programmes and manage supplier compliance documentation.
Assist with
traceability paperwork
, technical data management, and compliance audits.
Monitor and maintain records on systems such as Logit.
Provide administrative support for
customer complaints
and technical reports.
Deputise in preparing and updating daily/monthly KPI data for the QA and Technical Managers.
Ensure adherence to site policies and procedures, including QMS, Health & Safety, and HR.
Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and help drive improvements across processes.

What We're Looking For
Experience in a technical, quality, or administrative role within food manufacturing (preferred).
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
