The Technical Administrator role includes a variety of tasks and activities including the preparation and updating of information relating to the installation and ongoing technical support of the ANPR field infrastructure handheld (mobile) devices and managing the movement of equipment, as well as dynamic management and analysis of the estate; alongside various other duties.

The majority of technically-specific tasks regarding the post may be regarded as unique to the business and will be covered by full, and detailed, in-house training to build on the basic knowledge of the incumbent as required for the role.

Software asset management

Asset management of our field operatives

Working with our bespoke in-house software

SIM management suite to assign and test SIMs across the whole ANPR estate.

Daily and weekly reports

Compliance documentation

Using existing dashboards dynamically monitor the current estate using agreed escalation procedures to provide a reactive response.

Contact local clients, both verbally and in writing, as required for low-level reactive intervention.

Using the appropriate software interface create and monitor 'Suspensions' to inhibit ANPR data processing.

Using the appropriate software interface to manage the estate of SIM cards ensuring all data is accurate and reflects the current, and anticipated, operational status.

Review drawings, specifications and other documentation as requested by the Project Management and Project Support teams.

Collate equipment kit marshals for the distribution to field and contractors in preparation for site installations.

Adhere to the document management system ensuring all documents are correctly identified and filed.

Serve as an information source on areas of the business for which responsibility is held.

Present in a professional manner at all times.

Ability to learn and promote the department ethos of continual development through sharing of knowledge and information.

Other duties as required relating to the provision of technical support.
