BKP Waste & Recycling

are experts in environmental services, with their brand new Transfer Station designed in-line with the highest standards of engineering and design, and Industrial Packaging Decontamination Process to allow for maximum reuse of large containers and recycling of plastic and steel components. BKP also provide treatment services for your gully, road sweeper, interceptor and liquid wastes, with their unique, onsite liquid treatment plant.

Duties & Responsibilities



Working between the technical assessor and commercial team to ensure all the relevant pre-acceptance paperwork / sampling has been completed. Responsibilities include:

Waste Assessment & Compliance:



Follow site pre-acceptance, sampling, and compatibility procedures (per WM3) to technically assess waste enquiries, ensuring that pre-acceptance information is complete and available. Ensure that sufficient information, including samples where required, is provided to facilitate accurate assessment. Ensure that all relevant waste-related information is logged on the system for quoting, transport, and acceptance.

Route & Disposal Management:



Understand site processing capabilities (both physical and operational) to enable correct routing of waste. Identify and recommend suitable disposal routes for both packaged and bulk waste. Ensure compliance of all waste quotes with site permits and waste management licences, adhering to strict KPI targets.

Sample Analysis & Documentation:



Liaise with internal and external laboratories for sample analysis and waste acceptance as needed.

System Accuracy & Non-Compliance Resolution:



Ensure that all waste loads are accurately priced and communicate any non-conformances to the sales team. Provide pragmatic advice and solutions to resolve non-compliance issues and prevent reoccurrence.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:



Liaise closely with the Sales and Operational teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Advise on transport, labelling, and consignment note requirements for waste shipments. Administration relating to customer accounts, invoicing support, queries Booking in material with BKP Operations / Transport as appropriate & third-party companies as required ensuring that the customer receives a fluid service Any other reasonable duties requested by senior management

Requirements:



HNC in chemistry or related subject (essential), previous hazardous waste experience is preferred, strong communication skills, attention to detail, can-do attitude, team player, problem solver

Ongoing training is provided

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

21 days holiday rising by one day for each completed calendar year of service up to a maximum of 25 days. Plus Bank Holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 27,000.00 per year
