Job Overview

To support the technical function by sending product samples to laboratory, maintaining daily communication with the laboratory and reporting micro and chemistry sampling and results. Maintaining daily registration system and preparing sampling lists. Surveillance of portal and any adverse results reported immediately, and appropriate action taken.

Duties

Inputting data into spreadsheets accurately and in timely manner. Communicate results via email to relevant personnel. Monitoring laboratory portal and be able to find result when needed. To supervise all product samples, swabs, water samples, air plates etc to a set sampling plan and ensure they are sent to the laboratory in a timely manner. Ensure samples are Logged onto the relevant laboratory online portal system. Review all micro results and investigate out of specification results. Organise, chair and document organoleptic tests results. To ensure sampling plans are maintained for work in progress, finished product and the working environment. To assist the QA Supervisor in monthly traceability's through collation of all relevant documentation. To collate information for a weekly information pack & liaise with the Technical Services team with regards to its completion & distribution (weekly and monthly report). Assist the Technical Compliance Manager with customer audits and become actively involved with all audits regarding customer and local authorities. Additional internal audit and BRC preparation will also be required. Ensure that the sites calibration matrix is kept fully up to date.

About You

Ability to commute/relocate to the site in Bury BL9 8RQ (required) Dependable and responsible. Knowledge of Microsoft excel. Literacy and numeracy proficient Previous work experience in food factory welcomed but not essential. Pragmatic approach to solving problems and reporting. Willing to undertake all relevant Operational, technical, health & Safety, environment and development training required by company policy and legal requirements. Impeccable organisation, planning and prioritisation skills. Microsoft Office Help mentor new employees within the department area where applicable.
