Job Description

Crust and Crumb Breads Ltd is based in the Carn Industrial Estate, Craigavon, specialising in the production of high volume quality frozen and chilled bakery products for leading retailers, foodservice and manufacturing customers. We specialize in producing Garlic Breads, Baguettes & Specialty Breads.

Key Duties:



Maintain site quality standards to meet all required customer specifications and expectations. Collect, log, and assess product shelf-life samples - check visually at start, middle and end of life, maintain the shelf-life assessment log, prepare and circulate the monthly report to site. Undertake routine product assessments as per customer specification and score. To conduct weekly quality product panels / log and report quality issues to the team To manage & conduct training as required including procedure updates and team briefs. To monitor compliance to on-line quality control and packaging QAS To conduct product temperature monitoring checks / trials To conduct Food safety training including procedure updates & relevant team briefs as required. To Audit & monitor key process check compliance against specifications or targets e.g. ingredients, weight, label, CCP (Metal detection), probe calibration - list is not exhaustive. Highlight and manage Food safety or Quality non-compliances. Monitor production paperwork for completion of ingredients and packaging traceability information. Verify all the ingredients in the chill and on-line have batch label attached and correctly completed. To maintain food safety through monitoring and control of miscellaneous equipment (e.g., Plasters, cable ties, pens, markers, ear defenders, safety knives

Adhoc duties

:

To support the management of the site training matrix & identify training requirements. To support management daily/weekly/monthly factory paperwork archive To conduct pre-production swabbing checks if required - Allergen rapid and ATP. To provide support (including process controls) to production and production queries as they arise Positively release product and generate the Final Product Release Paperwork. Release and Hold product as applicable and communicate to line / production manager(s). Any other duties as required.

Essential Criteria-



Experience of working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment Ability to demonstrate good manual dexterity Evidence of effective communication skills Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail Evidence of good timekeeping and reliability Able to manage a team. Able to ensure production targets are met Able to complete quality paperwork. Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative Applicants must be in reasonably good health and not suffer from any conditions that may prevent them from working with machinery safely or affect food hygiene regulations A proficient level of both written and verbal English
