We are excited to be recruiting a Planning Technical Assistant to join our small but well-established team.
What does the Planning department do?
The team decide whether a development, anything from an extension on a house to a new shopping centre, should go ahead. Planning is about getting the right things built in the right places, the use of land, and about other issues too, such as heritage, job creation, regeneration, and climate change.
What will I be doing?
You will help provide administrative support to our Planning department. You will have a varied and very interesting workload, dealing with the publics enquires daily. Typical duties include:
Input data into computer system.
To produce and issue documentation and weekly reports.
To deal with planning searches.
Taking payments for applications and dealing with refunds.
Scanning of documentation.
What we need from you:
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Excellent ICT skills
Clear communication skills
Ability to work well within a team as well as an individual
Able to work under pressure and work to strict deadlines
Previous experience is an advantage however full training will be provided.
