OVERVIEW OF JOB:

To assist in all areas of food safety, legality, authenticity and quality systems.

KEY DUTIES:

Assist in maintaining the site's food safety certification to the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety. Carry out glass audits. Carry out calibration checks on equipment. Carry out traceability studies and mass balances in line with defined frequency. Ensure routine verification checks are completed on CCP records and factory traceability. Initiate and document corrective actions where deviations from specification occur.
Ensuring quality check procedures are followed at every stage of production by carrying out regular quality checks and continually monitoring all raw materials, work in progress products and finished products to ensure that they meet the company quality standards.

Documenting any quality issues and ensuring any non-conforming materials are restricted by the site. Inform the technical department of any non-conformances.

To review (QAS/RAGS) when conducting quality checks on the line and/or taste panels to ensure all information is correct.

Testing products to ensure that they meet the company quality standards. If results deviate from specifications, then corrective actions must be taken.

Ensure full compliance with food safety policies and statutory requirements by all team members. Carry out regular audits across production and packaging areas; identify and advise on any non-conformances and follow up on corrective measures. Coordinate the technical response and input during factory audits, including active participation in audit meetings. Investigate customer complaints. Investigate any instances of unsafe or non-conforming product or raw materials, ensuring rapid resolution and appropriate corrective actions.

General Duties

Attend and contribute to management food safety and quality meetings. Take part in training and development opportunities as required.
