The post is based in Pullar House, Perth but will involve a mixture of office and site-based working. The post holder will design and supervise works in accordance with the appropriate legislation, recommended standards and Council and Roads Service Policy. The role will primarily consist of delivering projects such as new footways, traffic signs, road markings and various traffic calming measures. It will also involve the investigation of road safety concerns, responding to correspondence and dealing with Traffic Regulation Orders. The Roads Service as a whole is responsible for a wide range of technical work and staff may be required to carry out other tasks within the department, compatible with their abilities, as its priorities might require.

Skills & Experience Required

An enthusiastic and experienced person is required to become a member of the Road Safety Team. The candidate should have good communication skills and be competent in the use of MS Office applications. They should also be capable of working as part of a team as well as under their own initiative.



This position involves frequent travel to various locations within Perth and Kinross (about 2 -3 days per week). Therefore a valid driving licence would be advantageous to help with site visits and transport between locations.
