Job Description

Badley Ashton and Associates Ltd, a leading geoscience consultancy providing specialist reservoir description and prediction advice to the energy sector worldwide, is expanding its established Technical Support Team based at its UK head office in Lincolnshire.

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Technical Assistant to work alongside our reservoir geologists to assist with a variety of data collection and preparation tasks through to report compilation. This is a dynamic position, demanding diverse skills and strong interaction with colleagues.

Working hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday



Location: Winceby House, Horncastle, LN9 6PB



Hybrid working: 3 days in office, 2 days remote



Team: 2-3 people



Salary: Competitive, DOE



Roles & Responsibilities:



In your role you will provide support with a range of data driven tasks from categorising client data to loading, manipulating and displaying data into our own commercial software and a range of other software packages. You are responsible for collecting, organising and processing data including statistical analysis and reporting. You always ensure that data is accurate and reliable. Administration of rock samples and preparation for analysis forms a minor part of your role.

Qualifications:



Essential:

Bachelor's Degree in Science or a related field
Desirable:

Bachelor's Degree in Geology

Experience/Skills:



Essential:

Excellent English language and mathematical skills Strong MS Office software skills, particularly in Excel (Training will also be provided)
Desirable:

Good understanding of Excel macros, including how to record, edit, and run macros to automate tasks and improve workflow efficiency Familiarity with Python or other programming language to support a range of data applications Good understanding of AI tools and the ability to integrate them into daily workflows
