Ocean Infinity is seeking a Technical Buyer from an industrial manufacturing environment to manage procurement for Ocean Infinity's Geotechnical assets.
The Technical Buyer will be expected to be honest, pragmatic, an excellent communicator, and a team player. You will be able to work both collaboratively and individually on category management and contribute effectively in a global procurement environment with other buyers and the wider supply chain department. You will be friendly, co-operative, and genuinely engaged in the work we are doing. You will have a strong sense of curiosity, a desire to learn by doing, and an appetite for transformation and development within procurement.
What you will do:
Share the Geotechnical category with one other buyer and support with procurement activities;

Support procurement activities such as, but not limited to:Vendor management Contract and negotiations management Engineering change revisions (ECR), change orders (CO) Order and RFQ management Coordinate delivery and logistics with our logistics department Manage compliance issues, such as proactively engaging with suppliers to align anticipated delivery dates vs firm delivery dates Support Finance functions with invoice discrepancies Follow up with suppliers to update delivery dates in the company's internal tracker for open orders, based on the open order report (OOR) to be sent to each supplier weekly

Who you are:Diploma or certificate in procurement and/or supply chain management (CPIM, CSCP, bachelor) or a related field Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship Significant experience in procurement within an industrial manufacturing environment Experience working with engineering teams on new product development Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel for data tracking and analysis Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment Collaborative, proactive, and genuinely engaged in your work Driven and motivated by learning, development, and continuous improvement in procurement

Desirable:Familiarity with ISO9001 quality control and/or auditing experience Familiarity with occupational health and safety programmes ERP (preferably NetSuite) experience Marine or survey experience

Salary for this position: Up to 45,000 per annum
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
