Summary



We are an Audio-Visual (AV) solutions company specialising in the supply and installation of professional AV systems. We are seeking a Technical Buyer to manage the procurement of equipment, materials, and services required to support our projects. This role works closely with the Project Manager to ensure cost-effective purchasing, accurate documentation, and timely delivery of AV equipment and related installation materials. Prior experience in the AV industry is highly beneficial; however, candidates with strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn will also be considered.

Responsibilities



Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding supplier selection, pricing, equipment specifications and delivery arrangements Engage with CCOMM supplier base to manage procurement processes as efficiently as possible Negotiate discounts from suppliers to improve margins on jobs Raise purchase orders based on materials list, schematics or procurement schedules provided by the Project Manager Ensure all purchase orders are accurately documented and aligned with internal processes Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to confirm expected delivery dates Proactively inform the Project Manager of any long lead times, delivery delays or other purchasing related issues Process and file delivery notes, verifying against purchase orders and updating records accordingly Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including purchase orders, delivery notes, shipping documents and invoices Provide purchasing information to the compliance officer on a quarterly basis Support the finance team in ensuring that all invoices are processed with 1 week of receipt Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and incorrect or missing deliveries

Qualifications



Previous experience in a technical purchasing, procurement or supply chain role Experience working with suppliers, distributors and logistic partners (AV industry experience is a strong advantage) Experience raising, tracking and managing purchase orders Experience co-ordinating deliveries, resolving supply issues or managing international shipments is desirable Experience supporting project-based environments where budgets, deadlines and material availability are critical Experience using Sage 50 would be an advantage
