Job Description

Technical Compliance Manager for a leading producer of high quality food products, based in Suffolk. Will manage the day-to-day compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) within the site. Will be based in the office in Suffolk for a minimum of 3 days a week
Reporting to the Technical Manager and leading a small team, responsibilities for the role will include:

• Managing the day-to-day activities of a small team to ensure that all factory processes/products and retailer specifications are kept up to date
• Assisting in conducting and preparing for customer and 3rd party audits
• Maintaining /improving the allergen management systems,
• Ensuring any new suppliers meet brand standards for all raw materials and packaging
• Compilation and issuing of Technical KPI reports
• Managing the internal audit system and customer and site specifications systems
• Obtaining product label approval
• Maintaining and developing positive relationships with internal and external customers

Essential / Desirable skills include:

• A sound knowledge of BRCGS standards, retailer standards and codes of practice
• Experience in Technical and Quality management systems, procedures and protocols
• Sound understanding of document control systems and their application
• Relevant qualifications in a Scientific / Technical discipline
• Must have excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team
• Excellent computer skills in retailer specification platforms and MS Office
• Ideally will have experience working with high care products

The working hours for the role are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with flexibility to meet the needs of the role. Will be based in the office in Suffolk for a minimum of 3 days a week. The salary is 40k to 45k per annum plus benefits.
