Job Description


An opportunity has arisen for a solutions-focused Technical Delivery Lead to join a world renowned educational publisher where you\'ll be responsible for the end to end delivery of a collection of customer-facing digital education product applications and systems. The role offers an excellent salary and benefits package, and hybrid working (with 2 days per week to be spent in the company\'s Oxford office).

As Technical Delivery Lead for Education your main remit will be to manage and oversee internal and 3rd party engineering and delivery teams and resources to deliver application development, ongoing roadmap enhancements and maintenance activities to existing product systems and applications, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and on budget. You\'ll work cross-functionally on the smooth transition and communication of new applications / products, working closely with the Change Management team to ensure successful delivery of changes and enhancements. This is a key role where your work with stakeholders across the education business will be pivotal in ensuring the company\'s market leading digital products meet expected standards and quality and deliver a consistent experience to customers and users.

The ideal Technical Delivery Lead will have experience with an agile methodology such as Scrum or Kanban, and experience in either enabling applications or Digital Products, as well as shaping, advising on, and delivering solutions to required quality within agreed budget and timescales. You\'ll possess the ability to deliver enhancements / projects and have an understanding of the need to work with change management functions to embed change effectively. You will have a strong customer focus, top notch presentation and communication skills and excellent stakeholder management skills. As a trusted advisor in this role you will work across multiple initiatives with strong delegation and empowerment skills and have the ability to deal with ambiguity and change comfortably. Knowledge of business analysis and development methodologies including Agile development are essential, and an understanding and knowledge of publishing or closely related industries would be advantageous but by no means a must.
