Essential Experience and Qualifications:

Technical Designer/ Product/ Engineering

Experienced with designing furniture

Experience with interior space design / FFE / Museum / Fit-out

Sheet materials - MFC/MDF/Plywood/Plastics

Fixtures and fittings / Ironmongery

Joinery - Traditional and new methods

CAM / CNC processes

Reading and working to architect drawings

Maintaining drawing registers and drawing status changes

Proficient with general IT function - MS Suite, Outlook

CAD design using

o Solidworks (Essential)

o SWOOD Design (Desired)

o SWOOD CAM (Desired)

o AutoCAD/Adobe Suite

Desirable Experience and Qualifications

Previous Experience of leading and managing Design Teams

Managing Subcontractors

Metal fabrication

Bsc / Msc Furniture Design

Bench Joinery practical

Lighting

Textiles / Upholstery

Graphics

Role

The role will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with the wider team to ensure that the Design team delivers:

Accurate construction drawings (setting out).

Keeps ahead of production in terms of ganged drawings.

Holistic and considered RIBA 4 drawings where necessary.

Input to New Business Project pitches where required)
