This role sits at the heart of our technical and manufacturing operation.
You will be responsible for translating concepts, sales requirements, and client needs into accurate, build-ready technical outputs--ensuring products are manufactured right first time, costed correctly, and supported by robust specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Beyond delivery, this role plays a key part in driving technical accuracy, system discipline, and continual improvement, reducing repeat errors and strengthening how products, pricing, and data flow through the business.

Key Objectives
Deliver technically accurate designs and specifications suitable for manufacture and installation
Ensure all products are supported by clear, structured BOMs and cost data
Maintain integrity of the product catalogue, pricing, and technical records across company systems
Actively reduce errors and inefficiencies through structured problem-solving and system improvement
Support sales, design, and operations teams with dependable technical input that enables confident decision-making
Review and create manufacturing and installation instructions for new and existing products
Produce accurate technical designs for full installations, ad-hoc works, and individual components
Generate clear, structured BOMs to support order fulfilment and manufacturing
Specify materials, components, and installation requirements to ensure right-first-time delivery
Create specifications and cost estimates for new products, parts, and variations
Product Catalogue & Cost Control
Manage and maintain the company product catalogue, ensuring:
Accurate BOM structures
Correct and current pricing
Supporting specification documentation attached to each product
Ensure pricing changes are accurately maintained and reflected across all relevant systems
Support margin protection through disciplined cost control and data accuracy
Quality, Systems & Continuous Improvement
Own technical issues logged within the eQMS system, from root-cause analysis through to resolution
Identify repeat issues and implement preventative actions to eliminate recurrence
Actively assess opportunities to replace manual processes with smarter, more automated solutions
Present improvement options clearly, including time, cost, and resource implications
Commercial & Workflow Support
Produce accurate, technically sound quotations in line with client requirements
Ensure all sales and service quotations entering the KANBAN workflow are completed within three working days
Monitor incoming work to ensure it meets defined process and information standards
Escalate incomplete or non-compliant requests with clear, actionable feedback to management
Collaboration & Departmental Support
Work closely with visual designers, supporting them with technical clarity that strengthens overall project delivery
Promote consistent standards, structured thinking, and best practice within the technical and design function
