Our renewables division is growing fast, supporting the UK's transition to low-carbon heating systems by supplying smart, sustainable solutions to installers and developers across the country.
About the Role
We're looking for a technically minded Estimator to join our renewables team. This is a hybrid role combining product specification, customer liaison, and CAD-based planning. You'll work closely with internal sales teams and external customers to identify project needs, recommend appropriate low-carbon heating products (like heat pumps and underfloor heating), and produce accurate technical quotations and installation layouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret project information and liaise with customers to understand technical requirements
- Specify appropriate low-carbon products and solutions
- Prepare technical quotations for system supply
- Produce 2D CAD installation plans (training provided if needed)
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, MCS, and other relevant standards
- Provide technical input and support to internal sales teams
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and stakeholders to deliver best-fit solutions
What We're Looking For
You don't need to tick every box. If you have any of the following, we'd love to hear from you:
- Experience in estimating, technical sales, or system design (heating, plumbing, or renewables)
- Familiarity with 2D CAD software
- HNC or degree in mechanical engineering, building services, or a related discipline
Bonus points for:
- Knowledge of Building Regs (Part L/F), heat pump systems, or MCS standards
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
