Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Helpdesk Engineer to join our IT support team. You will be required to provide technical support to installers, service engineers, consultants and third parties predominantly over the phone as well as sales force queries. It is desired that you are a customer focused Gas Engineer, with knowledge & experience of boiler fault-finding and an understanding of heating system design. The role is office based at our head office in Kidderminster, but considerations could be made for a hybrid arrangement.

Responsibilities



Technically minded, capable of interpreting and understanding technical data and drawings.

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure whilst maintain a positive attitude and a logical structure approach to problem solving with the ability for lateral thinking.

Display extensive working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product knowledge and company services offered when dealing with customers and engineers.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to gas boilers, air source heat pumps, water cylinders, and any other company products via phone, email, or remote tools.

Offer a high level of customer service, including excellent communication skills when liaising with customers giving technical assistance. Ensuring any customer concerns are taken care of in a professional manner.

Maintain up to date knowledge of product specifications, installation procedures, and regulatory standards.

Assist with or perform administrative tasks.

Any other duties and responsibilities deemed suitable.

Skills / Knowledge required



Essential:



Minimum of 5 years' experience within the gas industry and comprehensive industry knowledge.

Proficiency in Windows software packages.

Communication: Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Desirable:



ACS qualifications

Experience with CRM.

Attention to detail.

Work on your own initiative in a busy environment.

Comfortable and able to deal with clients by phone.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00 per year
