We focus on design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, decommissioning and dismantling also covering logistics and documentation.



We are currently looking for a Technical Lead \xe2\x80\x93 Equipment and Turnkey Contracts to join a team in Bristol. The successful candidate will be supporting nuclear power plant process and pressure equipment\'s project through the following activities:

  • Supporting the development of contract packages with a primary focus on definition of technical requirements and specifications, and detailed technical evaluation of supplier proposals.
  • Authoring technical specifications and associated technical delivery documents where necessary to define the contract delivery requirements, including the coordination of technical specialists to provide inputs as necessary.
  • Performing surveillance and approval of contractor deliverables and design activities.
  • Coordination of technical specialists to perform review of deliverables and resolution of technical issues.
  • Leading contract technical and project meetings.
  • Resolution activities for multi-disciplinary technical issues and queries, including input to/ownership of resolving technical Open Points (OP), interface queries and Design Changes (UKDC).
  • Review and approval of contract amendments and exemptions (CTSs, ERs)
  • Liaising with other departments and client teams to ensure integration of equipment with interfacing functions, systems and structures.
  • Liaising with internal and client management teams to communicate progress, risks, issues and planning to support contract delivery.
  • Awareness of contract commercial structures and working practices, including supplier management.
  • Visiting contractors within Europe for project meetings.
Qualifications
  • Degree (or equivalent qualification) in an Engineering or Scientific discipline
  • Understanding of materials and systems such as tanks, columns, pressure systems, or processing equipment.
  • Understanding of the EPR or general PWR design
  • Understanding of nuclear design processes, mechanical and electrical/C&I interfaces (electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, anchorages, civil work, piping, fluids, safety, systems engineering)
  • IT literacy
  • Ability to produce technical specifications
  • Experience on the design of nuclear power plant tanks, fluid process/handling systems and mechanical components
  • Experience of equipment supply contracts and contract forms such as NEC/FIDIC

  • 12+ month, fix term contract / Inside IR35
  • Salary/rate \xe2\x80\x93 depending on experience
