About the Role





We are looking for a

hands-on technical leader

to guide our engineering team in building high-quality, scalable, and distributed software solutions. As the

Team Lead - Software Engineering

, you will combine technical expertise with leadership skills, driving engineering best practices, mentoring developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities



Software Development & Maintenance



+ Build and maintain applications using

Java 17/21

,

Spring Boot

,

AWS

, and

NoSQL

databases.
+ Design and implement scalable, distributed systems with strong performance, security, and maintainability standards.

Leadership & Mentoring



+ Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
+ Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce best coding practices.

Performance & Quality



+ Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure high system reliability.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure robust testing and quality assurance practices.

Agile Delivery



+ Work in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical discussions.
+ Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and DevOps Engineers to deliver features on time and to specification.

DevOps & CI/CD



+ Promote best practices in

CI/CD

, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps methodologies.
+ Work closely with cloud infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments and monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience



Proven track record as a

Technical Lead

,

Senior Developer

, or

Engineering Manager

in complex software delivery environments. Strong hands-on experience with:

Spring Boot

AWS Cloud Services


+

NoSQL Databases

(e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB)
Deep understanding of distributed system architecture, performance tuning, and secure coding practices. Solid knowledge of Agile development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications



Experience in public sector or large-scale enterprise environments. Exposure to containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
