Differentis is seeking a Technical Lead for a contract opportunity with our government client, the responsibilities includes strategic alignment, technical assurance, supplier coordination, and stakeholder engagement across all initiatives. The consultant would act as the Technical Lead for three commissions, providing oversight and guidance for the following projects:
Developing proof-of-concept dashboards for communications data using Kibana;
Ingesting and visualising ransomware and cybercrime datasets to support a future MVP;
Guiding wider data-driven and AI-enhanced use cases to help the NCA maximise value from their information assets.

Key Responsibilities
Own and steer the technical design across three initiatives
Offer expert technical advice and assurance to delivery partners
Refine proposed solutions to ensure they address real user and operational needs
Act as the primary technical interface for stakeholders and customers
Validate that outputs align with intended outcomes and strategic goals
Produce evidence-based recommendations and insights from delivery work
Provide oversight of day-to-day technical progress and future direction
Coordinate closely with Home Office teams, and other government partners to ensure timely and aligned delivery

Key Requirements
Demonstrated experience delivering rapid proof-of-concept solutions to test ways of exploiting data
Experience working within government environments, ideally in policing, national security, or related sectors
Strong applied knowledge of relevant technologies and practices (e.g., solution architecture, ELK stack, Python, data science workflows)
Knowledge of GDS standards and associated delivery approaches
Understanding of systems engineering, enterprise architecture methods, and structured design techniques
Familiarity with data modelling approaches and ontological frameworks
Ability to identify and address technical risks proactively
Understanding of cloud-based compute platforms
