About the Role



Cove UK is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Technical Lead to join our Technical Team at our award-winning holiday park. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee all technical operations and ensure that audio visual systems, lighting, and other technical setups run smoothly across our venues and facilities.



You'll work across a variety of entertainment spaces -- from outdoor stages and show bars to family venues and activity areas -- supporting theatre-style productions, live music, and special events. Your technical expertise and leadership will help create the memorable moments that make our guests return year after year.



Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop the Technical Team, fostering a proactive, skilled, and motivated group



Allocate tasks and oversee workloads to ensure all events and maintenance schedules are covered



Conduct performance reviews, provide training opportunities, and support career development

Technical Oversight & Operations:

Set up, operate, and maintain AV, sound, and lighting systems for live entertainment, events, and activities across the park



Provide on-site technical support during performances and events



Carry out routine checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV and lighting equipment



Assist with the installation, configuration, and testing of new systems or upgrades



Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety regulations

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

Work closely with the Entertainment and Operations teams to deliver seamless, high-quality guest experiences



Report technical faults or issues promptly and oversee repairs or solutions



Recommend process improvements, equipment upgrades, and innovations to enhance operational efficiency and show quality



Skills & Experience



Previous experience in a technical lead, supervisory, or AV management role (holiday park, theatre, or hospitality setting preferred)



Strong hands-on knowledge of audio, lighting, and video systems



Experience with equipment such as QLab, DMX lighting, or digital audio desks (desirable but not essential)



Basic understanding of electrical safety and maintenance procedures



Organised, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment



Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills



Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of the entertainment schedule
