We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Lead to support a key customer in the aerospace industry, with a focus on heat exchange systems. This role requires a deep understanding of thermal systems, aerospace design standards, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the aerospace heat exchange customer, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.
Lead cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, thermal, materials, manufacturing) through concept development, detailed design, and product validation.
Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and oversee the development of innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Manage engineering deliverables including CAD models, FEA/thermal analysis, drawings, DFMEAs, test plans, and compliance documentation.
Provide technical oversight on qualification testing, validation, and certification activities (e.g., DO-160, AS9100, FAA/EASA requirements).
Collaborate with program management, quality assurance, and manufacturing to ensure program milestones and customer expectations are met.
Identify technical risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
Mentor and coach junior engineers to support talent development within the team.
Work Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
Proven experience in the design and development of aerospace heat exchangers or thermal systems.
Strong understanding of thermal/fluid dynamics, materials science, and mechanical design principles.
Proficient in engineering tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent.
Knowledge of aerospace industry standards (ASME, AS9100, DO-160, etc.).
Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with major aerospace OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing or advanced materials used in heat exchangers.
Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).
