Do you have experience as a Contract Supervisor/Surveyor/Technical Officer and are looking for a new challenge in a rapidly expanding Healthcare company? Have you got knowledge and experience of residential construction methods?



If so, we have an exciting opportunity within our East Surrey Home Improvement Agency (HIA) for a

Technical Officer

to join the team. You'll be working as part of an engaged and motivated team, for a company committed to reward and recognition for a job well done.


As a Technical Officer with us you will be responsible for providing a technical building surveying service for Disabled Adaptations such as level access showers, ramps, stair lifts, kitchen adaptations and extensions to service user's homes which will assist them in living more independently.


This role will involve travelling to customers' homes in various contract area locations where you will be responsible for surveying, planning and overseeing contractors performing adaptations within the service user's homes.

What are we looking for?




Ideally, we are looking for an experienced person who has knowledge of residential construction methods; excellent organisational skills with a good eye for detail, is good with people having a flexible approach.


The Technical Officer/Surveyor will be able to demonstrate abilities and competency in the following areas;

A recognised building or building technician qualification such as ONC HNC BTEC in construction or evidence of equivalent experience Surveying and specification writing for creating building alterations Effective use of AutoCAD or other drawing packages Knowledge of building and planning regulations Contractor management techniques and understanding of adaptations within an occupied dwelling Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of CDM regulations Computer literate and ability to use systems for administration Excellent customer service skills Knowledge of DFG legislation is desirable Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
